In a short period of time, several major news outlets have shown great interest in various applications of VR in their reporting.
Tikab has been invited to both Dagens Nyheter and Ny Teknik magazine to demonstrate how VR can be used in communication. Both internally in large infrastructure projects such as Slussen and Hagastaden, but especially externally with the public.

The map of media and news reporting faces exactly the same challenges as the entire construction industry - it's being redrawn from the ground up.

The civil engineering industry is facing its biggest paradigm shift yet with digitalisation and the possibilities of BIM. It will fundamentally change the way we work and affect everything we do in our conservative industry. The media industry is in the midst of information consumers completely changing their behavioural patterns and consumption habits. In a relatively short period of time, both industries have been given entirely new tools and opportunities to respond to this. The interest is as high as ever.

With today's technology, there are now great opportunities to capture young people's interest in different messages, and even increased interest thanks to VR and drone technology, for example, which make the experiences more powerful and interesting. Combined with good journalism, storytelling and interactivity - it is an obvious way forward for the communication and media industry as well!

We are very proud to be an advisor and a sounding board in these matters. Last week we had the editorial team at Ny Teknik take a whiff and just yesterday at Dagens Nyheter too!

The future certainly looks exciting, interesting and inspiring!

At Tikab, we are at the forefront of the digitisation of the civil engineering industry where our focus is often in major infrastructure projects - but we also have over 20 years of experience in general visualisation and storytelling in animated 3D, of just about anything. We are now seeing increased interest from industries outside our natural comfort zone who want to tell their story with 3D animated material both as film and in VR - we find this very exciting! From the pharmaceutical industry wanting to illustrate how elastic and delicate a bladder can be - to vertical industrial vegetable farming in an urban environment.

Do you have questions or ideas on how your message can reach an increasingly demanding audience with the help of new technologies? Get in touch and we can discuss the possibilities!
