Production planning for Reinforcement in VR

Working in new ways with model-based construction contract delivery challenges all parts of a project. When traditional drawings are missing from a project, you have to consider all the stages where drawings have been used in the past. For example, in the evaluation of a model-based tender document, tender evaluation, self-checking, review, production planning and preparation, etc.

With advanced BIM models often comes advanced software to access the models. Many in the construction process today do not naturally work with these tools. It is often a threshold to enter the BIM environment if you do not have extensive experience with design tools. This applies to all functions from experienced estimators to rebar workers with warning vests.

Tikab and ELU are working together to make the models available at all stages to ensure that no one is left crying for paper drawings in model-based projects.

Here you can see an examination of a reinforcement structure in VR. We have developed a process to create review models in VR for designers, third party reviewers and production planning and preparation. Although we deliver crisp BIM models and exposure models, we can now deliver VR models to speed up understanding and review on the receiver and contractor side.
