Tikab welcomes Marcus Bengtsson to the BIM business area!
Marcus has extensive experience from large real estate projects such as Nya Karolinska, NKS and interesting knowledge of management needs as a former BIM manager and head of real estate information at Locum.
BIM Manager in NKS
The new Karolinska NKS is a high-profile project in many ways. Not least for its pioneering use of BIM for management data in databases linked to BIM models. Marcus was responsible for IT and BIM in the project that developed and laid the foundation for the product that is widely used in many real estate projects today - Symetris Bimeye. The only application not used in NKS at the time was BImeye Doormanager - this application was initiated by Tikab for Akademiska Hus when the design of NKS was completed.

At Locum, Marcus was responsible for the development of requirements and methodology to ensure the delivery of BIM adapted for modern property management systems.

Marcus has also been active in the CoClass working group and within BIM Alliance Sweden in the project management and property management groups. Marcus is also a frequent lecturer. For example, at the School of Business Administration's Construction Management programme.

Marcus' first day started in supporting our assignment to Botkyrkabyggen to formulate BIM requirements. Marcus will also be supporting interesting projects for Vasakronan where we are pushing the boundaries of how projects are traditionally conducted.
