Successful citizen dialogue in Nykvarn with VR

This weekend Boxbygg AB had an open house for the residents of Nykvarn. There they showed the grand plans of the new Nykvarn Centre in a slightly new way that proved to be very much appreciated. Tikab was on hand to show 3D animated films and VR models.

Old and young - citizens and politicians, the message was clear - "A very good way to communicate the municipality's plans, you understand immediately how it is intended".

Often, when a major refurbishment is about to take place, opinions are divided and many worry about how the new building will be perceived. During Saturday's event, everyone was very positive and happy to experience the new centre in this way. Concerns about the cranes and construction in the area outside were blown away.

3D animated films were also shown on the big screen. Both for Nykvarn Centrum in its planned appearance and a film showing the construction stages. I.e. in which order existing buildings will be demolished and new buildings will be built. It was also very much appreciated because of the clarity. Visitors gathered here waiting for the VR glasses.

Now we are also starting to see signs that the hardware will soon be widely available and accessible to everyone. Social media content will be based on VR experiences in the near future.
