Do you want to be part of a team that defines new ways of working with BIM/VDC in complex construction and infrastructure projects and be there where it happens?
About the job
Together with you, we will shape the future of BIM and model-based processes in complex construction projects during design and production. For example, we have been involved in the development of a completely new platform for how construction documents can be produced, reviewed and delivered model-based and then used efficiently in production. We work with cutting-edge technologies such as UAS (drones) for efficient data collection, either for our own processes in assignments or as services in other assignments.
We now need to strengthen the organisation around these processes and are looking for people who are passionate about this type of work and want to help shape tomorrow's processes with today's technology and yesterday's processes in mind.
We offer!
You will be stationed in Tikab's new inspiring premises at Brunnsviken in Solna/Bergshamra together with 18 driven employees, and you will work at the customer's project in Stockholm.
In this job, you will have a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the industry's evolution towards BIM/VDC by immediately becoming part of the team that defines new ways of working in large and interesting construction infrastructure projects. The work is both strategic in nature, and hardcore in projects, by tailoring models for coordination and review. Also to plan, lead and follow up these coordination and review meetings.
If you are interested in new technologies such as UAS (drones) and developing effective industry applications in construction and visualization, there is an opportunity to be part of that work as well.
Who are you?
- You have an engineering degree or a degree from a BIM-oriented education
- Previous professional experience in design phase coordination and/or production phase coordination function
- Proven experience in leading or supporting 3D coordination processes
- Good knowledge in handling model coordination tools such as Autodesk Navisworks, BIM 360 Glue and Solibri Model Checker. Navisworks and BIM 360 Glue are an advantage.
- Good understanding of information needs in design and production
- Proven experience in model-based work with quantities and calculation is desirable.
- Interest and some experience in 3D visualization in construction projects in various ways. Either for marketing, scheduling or production planning.
As a person, we value qualities such as self-starter, initiative, questioning, goal-oriented and efficient. You are process-oriented and want to be involved in applying and shaping new ways of working as well as tweaking old ones. By process-oriented, we mean that it is understood that you are interested in new technologies and tools, but above all the processes to use them for maximum benefit.
In this role, your interpersonal skills are also important. Being able to handle and respond to different personalities in coordination meetings. Be diplomatic but firm and clear.
About Tikab!
Tikab is an independent engineering consultancy company since 35 years, with activities in mechanical design, strength analysis, visualization and process control with BIM/VDC. We are active in the construction, infrastructure and heavy industry sectors.
We strive for simple solutions to our customers' often complex problems. We see ourselves as the passionate consultant for societal benefit and have the vision to be the first choice for creative technology-intensive end-to-end solutions in Northern Europe.
Our values are therefore "simplicity, quality and passion"
In the field of construction/facilities, we have extensive experience of large projects where Tikab has been commissioned to solve mechanical constructions. For example, moving roofs in arena buildings, lock mechanics and mechanical structures in the Citybanan in Stockholm. We are often responsible for BIM/VDC processes in these projects
In the Industry business area, we are mainly active in power and rail. We perform dynamic calculations and strength analyses of systems and components. We also supply design solutions and manufacturing documents for, for example, hot scrap equipment and railway couplers.
In addition to Industry and Construction, we have activities that are completely sector-independent and are used by, for example, the advertising/PR and event industry. Visualisation and storytelling are examples of such activities.
We have recently moved to new inspired and fresh premises at Brunnsviken in Solna where we hope you will enjoy working with us!
