Seminar:
Digitalisation in the construction industry | VR, Laser & Drones

To the application

Welcome to the digitisation forum with seminars!

On 26 October 2016 at 13:00, Tikab and FARO invite you to an open house with a digitisation seminar and try-out sessions on laser scanning and Virtual Reality (VR) and drone applications for the construction industry.

Come and learn about the hottest topic in the industry right now!

The essence of BIM

The common thread is how modern methods can be used today to effectively read existing features, use the results in the design and experience the new building together with the existing in 1:1 scale as if you were standing in the middle of the project. The feeling and cannot be described - it must be experienced! This is the essence of BIM - creating uninterrupted information flows.

Experience!

Come and experience major ongoing infrastructure projects in full VR with market-leading hardware such as HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR and FARO Focus. We will show examples of how VR models and point clouds can be used effectively in planning, coordination, review, communication, inspection and production.

Message

Using VR and results from laser and drone scanning does not involve major steps in the projects being 3D projected. During the afternoon you will realise how small the step is and how big the benefits can be and why it is time to leave old methods behind.

Our main message is simple. With the right requirements and focus in the project, the quality of documentation, coordination and communication can be significantly improved.

Target group

Anyone interested in working smarter with today's technology is welcome. We are especially targeting people in leading roles in projects/organisations who can influence working methodology. Also commissioning organisations that are unsure what is actually possible to get delivered today.

Time & place

The event will be held on 26 October 2016 at Tikab's premises in Solna

Time: 13:00-ca. 18:00.
Address: Tikab Strukturmekanik AB, Björnstigen 87, SOLNA, Plan 3

Kommunication

  • Metro, red line to Bergshamra
  • Bus to Bergshamra farm or Bergshamra bridge.
  • Parking for 2h with parking disc is available just outside the office. Should these spaces run out, there are visitor spaces 5 minutes walking distance behind OKQ8 on the other side of Bergshamraleden.

  • FARO - Laser scanning for VR
  • Tikab - Coordination and visualisation with VR
  • Tikab - Drone scanning for design and VR

Registration

The seminar is free for all visitors. Pre-registration is required so that we can plan the catering and furniture. PLEASE NOTE! There is no charge for cancellation until 20 October 2016.
